The autonomic nervous system is a component of the peripheral nervous system that regulates involuntary physiologic processes including heart rate, blood working pressure, respiration, digestion, and sexual arousal. It contains three anatomically distinct divisions: sympathetic, parasympathetic, and enteric.
Your sympathetic nervous system is best known for its role in responding to dangerous or stressful situations. In these situations, your sympathetic nervous system activates to speed up your heart rate, deliver more blood to areas of your body that need more oxygen or other responses to help your get out of danger.
The parasympathetic nervous system predominates in quiet “rest and digest” conditions while the sympathetic nervous system drives the “fight or flight” response in stressful situations. The main purpose of the PNS is to conserve energy to be used later and to regulate bodily functions like digestion and urination.
The enteric nervous system (ENS) is a large division of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) that can control gastrointestinal behaviour independently of central nervous system (CNS) input. Mammalian neurons are located in either the CNS (brain and spinal cord) or PNS (cells with soma outside the brain and spinal cord)
If your brain effectively connects to body via vagus nerve, this is called vagal tone.
Vagal tone is a measure of cardiovascular function that facilitates adaptive responses to environmental challenge.
Low vagal tone is associated with poor emotional and attentional regulation in children and has been conceptualized as a marker of sensitivity to stress aim for parasympathetic state High vagal tone means a higher capacity for stress, change, and challenge and a higher capacity for rest, recharge, and recovery.

How to understand "Follow"?
Once you become fully mindful of yourself, we can feel the Qi moving in all parts of your body. Pick any part to focus on the Qi and follow its continuous forcefull force of motion .. gently follow the motion to be in union with yourself.
Follow comes together with Feel & Focus as a .3F group. This gem will lead you to recognise your Body Breathing as you feel the wave coming from Qi in our body
Passed to do Core Process?
You may divide the whole process into 4 parts.
In line with meditation Big Picture start with mind Focus 守 at your DanTian 丹田to do Embryo Breathing by Feeling & Following your Body Breathing Wave Movement.
Visualization of yourself as embryo in mother's womb help to bond with your mum who had unconditionally nourished & care for you for 9 months. This bonding will create good peaceful feelings in your mind.
Take a moment in this phase to hold your breath for one minute or more to benefit from hypoxia to build stems cells.
Next move attention focus to the top of your brain which is one of the acuputure points.
This is the start of the circulation round your meridians following 小大周天. Take your time to decide which point is important to you.
Perhaps you may consider to move towards your extremities like the tip of your toes or bottom of your feet.
Continue to move your mind or brain focus attention from organ to organ using the Parasympathetic system. Continue to shutter your focus between each organ and your lighted up brain to build the vegal communication tone.
If brain has good connection to body organs via this vagus nerve system then it is said your Vagal tone is good.

Start with looking at the light in your brain, next let the brain communicate with body parts. Extend breath hold with calmness using 3F process moving around the body parts. Holding breath will extend over 1 or 2 minutes after weeks of practice.
At each organ mind focus on it by slow gentle body 3F breathing for about 5 - 10 secs to feel the Qi flow in the organ.
The one round over all important organs from top to bottom of body can up to 20 minutes. If you do four rounds of this communication focus between your brain and organs it will take a total of about 80 minutes ie my experience.
It is good to end the 80 minutes meditation session by releasing your Qi with your feet flat feeling the ground.
Some people describe this whole core process as Transcendental Meditation (transcend mindfulness ie passively follow your inner self using any mantra).
Following are brain conditioning actions you can do to further calm yourself & unite yourself and ultimately with Universe or Nirvana
